Krispy Kreme unveils limited edition “Eclipse Donut”

The solar eclipse may not be considered a major event for everyone, but for Krispy Kreme, it is.

They’re unveiling a new, LIMITED time only donut, perhaps one of the greatest “themed” donuts ever to hit the market!

From April 5 through April 8, the donut spot is selling its Total Solar Eclipse donut. The limited-edition, Oreo-packed treat is honoring the rare celestial event occurring in North America on April 8.

The Total Solar Eclipse donut takes an original glazed donut and dips it in black chocolate icing. It is then topped with silver sprinkles and Oreo buttercream. The Oreo details don’t stop there: There is an entire cookie in the middle of the donut.

The idea behind the donut, which is pretty smart, is to mimic how the sun, moon, and earth lineup for the eclipse!

The participating Krispy Kreme locations will be serving the donut through april 8th, so its here, and then its gone!
