Christina Aguilera is planning to skip the upcoming, spring season of "The Voice" . . . but she says she'll "probably" return for a future season.
She says, quote, "[The producers] totally understood that I needed [to go do] something to fulfill my creative soul, and said 'this chair will always be yours to come back to whenever you [want].'
"I just need to do my thing for a minute then I can come back and be that much better of a coach."
CEE LO GREEN, ADAM LEVINE and BLAKE SHELTON haven't committed to the spring season yet, but the producers hope at least two of them can swing the back-to-back seasons to maintain a little continuity.
Christina has a new album on the way. It's called "Lotus", and it will come out sometime in November. The first single "Your Body" is coming out tomorrow . . . and Monday's episode of "The Voice" will feature a clip from her video for the song.
