WACO, Texas — Coca-Cola donated six trucks filled with bottled water for thousands of residents in the City of Waco who are without water after bitter cold temperatures caused problems for infrastructure, including broken water pipes.
“In the midst of this emergency, Coca-Cola was the good-hearted, compassionate neighbor we needed,” the city wrote on social media. “Your generous gift will always be remembered by those residents in need.”
Thank you! Coca-Cola Bottling Company stepped up & donated 100 pallets of bottled water (six 18-wheelers full) shipped to Waco from out of town. Water is being distributed to residents in anticipation of having water cut off for major leak repairs. https://t.co/n9RDGd8qbq pic.twitter.com/e7byCf0HW3

Homes are without water as crews work to repair mains that were broken, KXXV reported. The city cut off water in specific areas so crews could do the work. The 100 pallets of water will be stored at the Waco Convention Center until they are distributed to those in need.
At least 69 deaths have been blamed on the weather, which has swept across much of the South.
