“In the midst of this emergency, Coca-Cola was the good-hearted, compassionate neighbor we needed,” the city wrote on social media. “Your generous gift will always be remembered by those residents in need.”

Homes are without water as crews work to repair mains that were broken, KXXV reported. The city cut off water in specific areas so crews could do the work. The 100 pallets of water will be stored at the Waco Convention Center until they are distributed to those in need.

At least 69 deaths have been blamed on the weather, which has swept across much of the South.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
