9OH-411: White Castle is coming to JAX

Downtown Jacksonville is continuing to evolve, and the changes are becoming more noticeable by the day. One of the biggest recent announcements is the arrival of White Castle, which will mark the chain’s first location in Northeast Florida. Known for its iconic sliders and late-night reputation, the addition is another sign that national brands are starting to view Jacksonville as a growing destination worth investing in. Between new restaurants, bars, and entertainment options, downtown is slowly shifting into a place where people want to spend more time — not just work.

At the same time, the number of people actually living downtown continues to grow. With around 9,000 full-time residents already in the urban core and more apartments and developments on the way, Jacksonville is beginning to feel more like the live-work-play cities it’s often compared to, like Tampa and Charlotte. Projects like Riverfront Plaza and the new MOSH museum are helping create a more connected, active downtown experience, and it’s clear the city is building momentum toward a more vibrant future.
