We’ve all been there… you made an email in middle school or high school and thought it was FIRE 🔥
Fast forward to today—and now you’re sending job emails from something like BeerMeBro2002@gmail.com or HumansSuckCatsRock@gmail.com 😬
Well, good news: Google is finally coming to save your reputation.
📧 What’s changing?
Gmail is rolling out a feature that lets you change your email address without losing all your old emails, contacts, and history 🙌
Even better—you’ll still keep your old email as an alternate, so anything sent there won’t disappear.
🔄 Why this is a big deal
Before this, if you wanted a more “adult” email, you had to:
- Make a whole new account
- Transfer everything manually 😩
- Hope you didn’t lose anything important
Now? You can just upgrade your username and move on with your life like nothing happened 💅
⚙️ How to change it
If your account is eligible, here’s how to do it:
- Go to your email settings
- Click Personal Info
- Tap Email
- Select Google Account email
- Hit Change Google Account email
Boom. New you. Same inbox 😎
⚠️ One catch
Choose wisely… because you can only change your email once every 12 months ⏳
So maybe skip PartyLegend420 this time around 😂
🧠 Final thought
This feature has been in testing for a while, but as of now, it’s rolling out to everyone starting today.
So yeah… it might finally be time to retire that embarrassing email and step into your professional era 💼✨
