Think your kid isn’t listening? You might be right — because there’s a 52% chance they’re holding their phone while you’re trying to talk to them. 🙄📲
A new survey says the average child under 18 has their phone in hand during more than half of conversations with their parents. And honestly, before you roll your eyes at Gen Z . . . parents admit their partners are even worse 🤦 — glued to their screen 58% of the time they’re supposed to be talking. 💔
Only 74% of parents say they’ve had a true “device-free” conversation in the past week 🙌 — meaning no buzzing, scrolling, or TikTok distractions 🎵. Some families are fighting back with no-phone rules at 🍽️ dinner, 🎬 movie night, or 👨👩👧 family outings.
Still, nearly 80% of parents worry real conversations are disappearing 🗣️➡️📵. Experts say the best you can do is set boundaries — and yes, that goes for adults too.
✨ Silver lining? At least your kids are always reachable… you know, in between Snapchats. 👻😂
