🚗 What Happened?
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, deputies encountered a vehicle around 12:30 A.M. Monday in Westlake Village that was stopped at a green light and blocking traffic.
The deputies began investigating the driver for a possible DUI.
Jonathan Taylor Thomas was a passenger in the vehicle—but according to authorities, things got complicated when he got out of the car and repeatedly approached the deputies despite being told to stay back. 🚨
Deputies say Thomas was uncooperative and that when they attempted to detain him, he allegedly kicked a deputy in the stomach. 😳
🚔 JTT Spent the Night in Jail
Thomas was initially booked on suspicion of felony obstruction and public intoxication, according to the Sheriff’s Department. The driver was also arrested on suspicion of DUI.
But there’s an important update: Thomas was released Tuesday, and the Los Angeles Times reports that the incident was later reclassified as a detention rather than an arrest, with no formal criminal complaint filed at that time.
So this isn’t a case of JTT being convicted of anything—the allegations came from law enforcement during the traffic stop.

Thomas’ TV brother Zachery Ty Bryan, who played Brad Taylor, has also had multiple run-ins with the law.
