Kicking off a second season of 9OH-411, Jacksonville has plenty of new developments on the way, whether you’re grabbing lunch downtown, spending time on the St. Johns River, or gearing up for one of the city’s biggest sporting events.
ICYMI: Downtown workers have through August to visit the Chick-fil-A pop-up inside Jax Tower at 50 North (formerly the Bank of America Tower), open weekdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The location is serving as a trial run to gauge interest in bringing a permanent restaurant to downtown Jacksonville, with breakfast service also being considered later this month.
Meanwhile, boaters have something to look forward to as the new Met Park Marina prepares to open August 12 next to the future Four Seasons Hotel. The upgraded marina will feature fuel, electric hookups, Wi-Fi, a ship store, grab-and-go food and drinks, and easy access for Jaguars games and downtown events, with reservations officially now open on the marina’s website.
Looking ahead to next year, Ironman Jacksonville is officially returning on May 16 after a successful debut. Race organizers say they’ll unveil an updated bike course designed to improve traffic flow while maintaining the challenge athletes expect. Registration opens August 6, giving competitors plenty of time to secure their spot.
Between new dining options, expanded waterfront access, and nationally recognized sporting events, Jacksonville continues to add exciting reasons for locals and visitors to explore the city.
