The Jacksonville Humane society has been asked to help in the aid for Hurricane IDA... According to their post on their website, they say: “We have been asked to aid in the evacuation of pets from shelters in the path of Hurricane Ida. Some of the shelters will not withstand the storm; others need to empty so that they can help those in need. While this storm is not heading for Jacksonville, pets are on their way. We are assisting with a transfer of pets from Louisiana. Right now, we are full and so is Animal Care & Protective Services... We need fosters and adopters to help us move animals out of our shelters. This means that we can help pets in Jacksonville and those who are in the track of the storm. You can help by adopting or fostering a pet from JHS or ACPS. MORE HERE
