Your favorite fast-food restaurants weren’t always huge nationwide brands! They all got their start as a single restaurant! Like Dunkin’, which started as a small Massachusetts coffee and donut haunt called Open Kettle, or Shake Shack, New York’s beloved burger chain that was once as a small hot-dog stand. So what state has launched the most fast-food restaurants...CALIFORNIA! 7 iconic brands got their start in Cali including McDonalds, Taco Bell and Panda Express!

But what about us here in Florida? Our state is famous for a lot of things but launching fast-food chains isn't one of them! Only 1 restaurant can claim Florida as its home state, Burger King! According to the brand, the first burger king was established by James W. McLamore and David Edgerton in Miami in 1954. But others argue that the real first location was founded by Keith Kramer and Matthew Burns in Jacksonville in 1953, though that establishment went by the name Insta-Burger King.
