Instead, they’re proudly advertising things like:
- “Long hours and a competitive environment”
- “Keeping up with an unrelenting pace”
- “Being eager to be in the office… as much as possible”
One healthcare company literally wrote in their listing: “If you’re looking for work-life balance, this isn’t it.”
Companies are ditching the free snacks and remote work perks and letting applicants know it’s all grind, all the time.
Experts say this is a power move. With so many people hungry for work, companies are testing how far they can push — and for now, they’re winning. The trend is showing up mostly in start-ups, tech, and white-collar job postings.
TL;DR: The boss wants you in the office, working long hours, and not asking for a “self-care day.”
