Kanye West is definitely making a statement on Twitter...
Kanye West posted the video in support of him and other Black artists getting the rights to their songs.
He was saying early on Wednesday that African-Americans don’t get fair compensation for their work. He used the NBA as an example when comparing black artists getting the short end of the stick in the music industry.
In his latest social media rant, he says, “We sat back and watched Nick Cannon get canceled and we go to play ball in a bubble with black lives matter on our backs ... brothers let’s stand together for real ... there is no NBA or music industry without black people ... fair contracts matter ... ownership matters.”
Ironically, his arch-enemy Taylor Swift made a similar argument not too long ago after she was not allowed to purchase her masters from her former record label, Big Machine.
Are Taylor Swift and Kanye actually agreeing on something? Wild.
