If you grew up watching Blue’s Clues, you’re about to get hit right in the nostalgia — but with a grown-up twist.
Steve Burns, the original host who had us talking to cartoon mailboxes and solving clues with a crayon, is launching a brand-new podcast this fall called “Alive.” And no, it’s not a true crime show — it’s a weekly dive into what it means to be human in today’s chaotic, hyper-connected world.
Steve says the podcast is “for the people who grew up with me”, and it’s all about curious conversations, deep questions, and staying grounded in a complicated life. He wants to keep that energy of asking the big “why” questions — the same way he used to get us thinking about, well, Blue’s paw prints.
“There are a thousand podcasts you can listen to,” Steve says. “This is one that listens back.”
The idea was sparked by Steve’s heartfelt 2021 video during Blue’s Clues’ 25th anniversary — the one that had an entire generation crying into their phones. Now, he’s keeping that connection going, just on a deeper, more grown-up level.
Don’t worry — while Steve says there will be less talking furniture, there will still be moments of fun and lightheartedness.
