When you open a gift, what’s your move? Do you rip into it like it owes you money πŸ’₯πŸŽβ€”or carefully peel the tape like, β€œI might need this next year”? πŸ˜‡

Turns out, a LOT of us fall into that second category.

A poll of 30,000 Americans found that a full 34% save wrapping paper after the gifts are opened.

πŸ“¦ 18% actually keep it and reuse it

πŸ“¦ 16% save it with good intentions… but rarely follow through

So yes β€” that drawer full of folded paper? You’re not alone.

And if you think this is strictly a Depression-era grandma habit… think again. πŸ‘΅βŒYounger people are MORE likely to save wrapping paper than seniors.

πŸ“Š Only 25% of seniors save itπŸ“Š A whopping 44% of people under 30 do

Apparently, Gen Z is very eco-friendly… emotionally attached… and mildly chaotic. πŸ˜…πŸŒ±

Women are also a bit more likely to save wrapping paper than men:

πŸ‘© 38% of women

πŸ‘¨ 28% of men

So whether you’re doing it to save money, help the planet, or because you can’t throw away a perfectly good snowman pattern… just know you’re in good company.
