JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Regency Mall site says since Florida lowered its vaccine requirement this week to anyone 16 and older, its seen numbers rise.
Officials from the state-run site say on the first day of eligibility 2,790 people came in for a shot. That’s 700 more people than the day before.
The increase in numbers could be linked to the fact that Regency Mall is one of the only locations in Jacksonville offering Pfizer shots, the only approved vaccine for the new age group.
In Duval County, the number of people fully vaccinated has reached 253,499, the highest in the Northeast Florida. The state is almost at 10 million people
Here’s a breakdown of the number of people vaccinated in the area.
- Clay: 49,156
- Nassau: 27,979
- Putnam: 15,190
- St. Johns: 101,875
