
Jacksonville is also celebrating a major economic win. Johnson & Johnson Vision announced a $1 billion investment to expand its ACUVUE contact lens manufacturing and distribution operations near Jacksonville International Airport. The project is one of the largest private investments in Northeast Florida in recent years and will build on the company’s existing workforce of more than 3,500 local employees. With the new facility expected to be operational by 2028, it’s another big step forward for Jacksonville’s growing reputation as a hub for business and innovation.
Northeast Florida continues to rack up national recognition. St. Johns County was recently ranked the best county in Florida for families and also named the healthiest county in the state. The rankings highlighted everything from access to beaches, parks, trails, golf courses, and waterways to the overall quality of life that continues to attract new residents. It’s another sign that one of the fastest-growing areas in Florida is only becoming more desirable.
