🍽️ How’s your fridge looking? If it still looks like a Turkey Day Tetris board, tonight might need to be a full-on Thanksgiving Leftover Buffet.
Because… uh oh… today is officially the LAST SAFE DAY to eat your Thanksgiving leftovers. 😬
According to the USDA, most Thanksgiving foods only last 3–4 days in the fridge. That includes your turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans, gravy, AND pumpkin pie. After today? They could make you sick. 🤢
💸 And yeah, nobody wants to throw out food with prices being what they are… but trying to “push it” an extra few days isn’t worth it. This is not the time to “trust your nose.” 👃❌ Thanksgiving foods sit out longer than normal meals, which means they spoil faster.
🧊 BUT! If you want to save the food — freeze it ASAP. Most dishes will last months that way.
There is one rebel food that lasts longer in the fridge:✨ Cranberry sauce — homemade lasts 7–10 days, canned lasts 2 weeks.
So yeah… cranberry sauce is basically immortal. 😂
👀 To all the old-school moms and grandmas out there who say, “Oh, it’s fine!” — science disagrees. If it has meat or dairy, be careful. (So basically, everything except the rolls.)
