If someone told you they booked a hotel “in the middle of nowhere,” you’d probably picture a roadside motel with questionable vibes 🛣️😬 — not something that costs more than a mansion. But this? This is a whole different level of nowhere.
A Silicon Valley startup called GRU Space is officially taking reservations for a future hotel on the Moon 🌕🏨 — and yes, people are already lining up.
💸 The price? Stays are expected to cost anywhere from $250,000 to $1 MILLION per guest — and that’s just for the room. Getting there will likely cost over $10 million more 🚀💰.
GRU Space says they plan to build a permanent lunar outpost by 2032, with early construction starting as soon as 2029. Ambitious? Definitely. But that hasn’t stopped them from accepting deposits 👀
🏕️ What’s the hotel like? Don’t expect five-star luxury. The accommodations will be more like space camping, featuring inflatable structures that can host up to four guests at a time for multi-day stays.
🌌 Amenities include:
• Moonwalks 🌕
• Driving on the lunar surface 🚙
• Even golfing on the Moon ⛳
(No word yet on color TVs or room service.)
Eventually, the company hopes to expand using lunar materials to build stronger, longer-lasting structures that can host more guests 🧱✨
📝 Before you pack your bags:
• There’s a $1,000 non-refundable application fee
• A background check is required
• Travel costs are not included
• And let’s be real… they’ll probably charge for the water bottles 💧💸
So if you’ve got astronaut dreams and billionaire money, your next vacation might literally be out of this world 🌍➡️🌕
Would you stay at a hotel on the Moon — or is Earth good enough for you? 😅🚀
