🍫 It’s National Chocolate Day, and the timing feels a little evil β€” just three days before Halloween?! Like we needed another reason to binge on candy! πŸ˜…

A new poll found that 79% of Americans eat chocolate at least once a week, but during Halloween week, that number probably jumps to 100%.

When it comes to preferences, 59% say milk chocolate is their favorite, followed by dark chocolate, and then white chocolate in distant third place.

And in case there’s any doubt that Halloween is powered by chocolate β€” a new poll asked which candies we open FIRST after trick-or-treating. Only one non-chocolate candy made the Top 10!

🍫 Here’s the lineup:

1️⃣ Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups

2️⃣ Kit Kats

3️⃣ Twix

4️⃣ M&M’s

5️⃣ Snickers

6️⃣ Reese’s Peanut Butter Pumpkins πŸŽƒ

7️⃣ Hershey Bar

8️⃣ Milky Way

9️⃣ NestlΓ© Crunch

πŸ”Ÿ Starburst β€” the only non-chocolate candy to make the list! 🍬

Gummy Bears, Skittles, and Nerds came close β€” but sorry, chocolate still reigns supreme. πŸ‘‘πŸ«

(So yes, today’s the perfect excuse to β€œtest” a few pieces early... for quality control, of course. πŸ˜‰)
