Well... apparently America has other plans.
Instacart recently released data showing the most popular sodas ordered on its service, broken down by state—and one soda absolutely DOMINATED the country.
And it’s not Coke.
It’s not Pepsi.
It’s Dr. Pepper. 😳🥤
🏆 Dr. Pepper Owns 17 States
Dr. Pepper was the #1 soda in 17 states, including:
🤠 Texas🏔️ Colorado🌵 Arizona🦌 Missouri🌲 Montana🌵 New Mexico🌾 Kansas🎸 Tennessee🏞️ Alaska...and several others.
Basically, if you’re traveling through parts of the South or West, there’s a pretty good chance somebody nearby has a Dr. Pepper in their hand. 😂
🍹 Ginger Ale Is Having a Moment
Here’s one we didn’t see coming:
Canada Dry Ginger Ale is #1 in several Northeastern states, including:
🍁 Maine🦀 Maryland🏙️ New Jersey🔔 Pennsylvania
Meanwhile:
🥤 Schweppes Ginger Ale takes New York.
🍒 Vernors is #1 in Michigan.
Apparently, ginger ale is running the Northeast and nobody told us. 😂
🏔️ Mountain Dew Country
Mountain Dew dominates parts of Appalachia and the Upper Midwest.
💚 Kentucky💚 Indiana💚 Ohio💚 South Carolina💚 Wisconsin
And Diet Mountain Dew takes the top spot in:

That’s a LOT of Dew. 😂

Here’s the biggest shocker:
Classic Coca-Cola is #1 in only THREE states.

That’s it!
But Diet Coke is doing pretty well, coming in at #1 in:

And Coke Zero takes:

And Florida?
