This parenting take is blowing up online… and yeah, it’s got people arguing 👀
A mom is going viral for saying something pretty controversial:
👉 Her kids DON’T have to share their toys.
Yep. Not at the park. Not with strangers. Not just because someone asked 😅
🛴 Her argument
She says if her kids bring something like:
- A scooter 🛴
- Toys 🧸
- Bubbles 🫧
- Snacks 🍿
…they’re not obligated to share it with other kids.
Her reasoning?
- “You should’ve brought your own stuff.”
- “It’s their toy—they don’t have to share.”
- “You don’t have to do something just because someone asks.”
And honestly… she said it with confidence 😂
👍 There IS a catch
She’s not totally anti-sharing.
She says if her kids want to share, that’s great 🙌
And she also made an important distinction:
👉 If they invite someone over to their house, it’s different. At that point, you’re hosting—and sharing becomes part of being a good host 🏠
🌳 Public vs. private
So her whole argument really comes down to:
- Public spaces (like parks) = no obligation
- Your home = different rules
🤯 Why people are divided
Some people agree, saying:
- It teaches boundaries
- Helps kids understand ownership
- Encourages sharing by choice, not pressure
Others say:
- Sharing is a basic social skill
- It teaches kindness and cooperation
- Not sharing can come off as… a little harsh 😬
🤔 Final thought
So what do you think?
Should kids have to share… or should it always be their choice?
Either way, if you’re heading to the park…maybe bring your own bubbles just in case 😂🫧
