Sienna Spiro

Like many would-be singers, Sienna Spiro has put in work interpreting songs on social media with her own soul-pop-affected voice. Unlike most, though, that work paid off in a sudden burst of success, including the minor U.K. hit “Maybe.” and the debut EP Sink Now, Swim Later. She continued releasing singles, finding success with standouts like "You Stole the Show" and "Die On This Hill."

Born in London in 2005, Spiro spent her teen years sharing her takes on various covers and original songs in short-form, bite-sized videos on social media apps. A lover of jazz and hip-hop, she’s name-checked influences like Amy Winehouse, Frank Sinatra, and RAYE; earned her first groundswell of popularity covering songs by SZA and Emeli Sandé, and frequently models women's suits and streetwear in photoshoots. A songwriter since the age of ten, she took the plunge in 2024 with original tunes including “Need Me,” “Maybe.,” “Taxi Driver,” and “Back to Blonde.” It was “Maybe.” that became a runaway success, garnering tens of millions of streams and cracking the U.K. Top 75. Those songs and several others would form her first proper body of work, the 2025 EP Sink Now, Swim Later, released on Capitol Records. Additional singles like "Dream Police," "You Stole the Show," and "Die On This Hill" followed later in the year. ~ Mike Duquette
