BOSTON — Police are continuing to investigate after the remains of four infants were found inside an apartment in Boston, Massachusetts, earlier this month.
According to a news release from the Boston Police Department, autopsies have been performed on the remains of multiple infants found in an apartment on East Broadway in South Boston.
According to WFXT, authorities were called out to an apartment at 838 East Broadway just after 2 p.m. on Nov. 17. The Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said, according to WFXT, that once the officers arrived, they located what appeared to be a human fetus or infant in a freezer inside the apartment.
The following day, homicide detectives found more human remains in the apartment, according to WFXT. The Chief Medical Examiner’s Office personnel removed the remains for further investigation, according to WFXT.
According to BPD, autopsies were performed on two infant boys and two infant girls. The results are pending.
It is unknown if any criminal charges have been filed or if there have been any arrests, according to WFXT.
