The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of more than 31,000 infant car seats.
The NHTSA said that the webbing on some Cybex car seats’ central seat belt adjuster could fray and not have enough strength to hold a child safely.
The recall affects the following rear-facing car seats:

Owners of the recalled car seats will receive a replacement central seat belt adjuster strap assembly and installation instructions. If the owners have registered the car seats, the kits will be sent without any action from the owner starting March 13. For those who have not registered their car seats, they can contact the Ohio-based company at 877-242-5676, the NHTSA said.
